Tejpal's firm bagged 52-episode TV series from Doordarshan

New Delhi: After the Tehelka founder-editor Tarun Tejpal was accused of sexual assault by a female journalist, his induction into the Prasar Bharti board was ruined.

Not just this, Doordarshan had collaborated with a Tejpal firm called Amaraman India Pvt. Ltd. for a 52-episode series to mark the 100 years of cinema.

Half of the amount of Rs. 2 crore was paid as advance but Tejpal's firm was unable to meet the deadline and deliver a rough cut on November 15.

Tejpal's siblings Neena and Minty Tejpal along with Tehelka's former managing editor Shoma Chaudhury and Trinamool Congress leader K D Singh are amongst the other partners of the firms. However, Tejpal holds the highest stake.
