Canyon County Fair starts Thursday

CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — The Canyon County Fair returns to Caldwell this week. The fair is happening on July 28 - 31.

There are two options for tickets. Advance General Admission for ages 13-64 is $6 and tickets for children and seniors (ages 6-12 and 65+) costs $4.

On-site Admission tickets cost $8 for general admission (ages 13-64). On-site tickets for children and seniors costs $6. Children 5 and under are free.

The carnival will include the Ferris wheel, Super Shot, Rock Star, Zipper, Bumper Cars, Tornado, Kite Flyer, and Deluxe Sizzler. There are also rides for younger fans like the Carousel, Safari Train, Fun Slide, and the Berry-go-round.

An unlimited weekly ride wristband will cost $75 and an advance unlimited ride wristband will cost $30. A wristband for one day of unlimited rides will cost $40. Single tickets cost $1.

Several artists will be performing throughout the week. On Thursday, Mark Chesnutt and Kameron Marlowe are preforming with Jordan Davis and Matt Koziol on Friday. On Saturday, Flo Rida and DJ Kronik are performing with Banda Renovacion and Zoilo Navarrete Y Los Rebeldes de Durango on Sunday.

Senior Day takes place Thursday at 1p.m. with lunch at the same time. Bingo is at 2 p.m. and a dessert and social hour at 3 p.m.

The Fun Run is on Saturday. Check-in starts at 10:15am and the starting line is at Gate 7.

The Latino Festival takes place Sunday. Festivities include folkloric dancing, traditional Aztec and Spanish Flamenco dancing, live mariachi music and musical performances by a variety of artists.
