BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A recent ranking by Money.com found Boise was the 13th best place to live in the U.S. in 20201.
The high ranking is due to Boise's economic and recreational opportunities. "Boise has an extremely hot housing market," the report said.
They cite a Redfin study that found 73 percent of people looking to buy houses in Boise are from out of town. In particular, a lot of Californians are coming to Boise for tech jobs and cheaper living. Idaho as a whole is the second-fastest growing state in the U.S., behind Utah.
Boise also has a low unemployment rate of three percent.
The article praised Boise's recreation as well, citing the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, the Boise Art Museum, and the outdoor gallery Freak Alley.
