Boise influencer, Natalie Hodson, may change plea in hit-and-run manslaughter case

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A once-popular social media influencer from Boise is awaiting trial for vehicular manslaughter in an alleged hit-and-run incident that occurred in August 2022. Hodson has pled not guilty, and the court has been working towards a trial scheduled for February, but Hodson may change her plea in court on Thursday morning.

Natalie Hodson built a following numbering in the hundreds of thousands across multiple platforms, selling eBooks and workout guides catering to moms.

Hodson allegedly hit 39-year-old Kristina Rowley from Cascade while pulling over alongside Highway 55, checking her trailer. On Aug. 8, 2022, just before 9 p.m., Hodson allegedly hit Rowley with her vehicle and then continued driving along the highway. Witnesses called 911.

Ada County Sheriff's Office reported Rowley was pronounced dead at Saint Alphonsus. Hodson was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death, both felonies.

Hodson has pled not guilty and maintained her innocence, but that may end Thursday morning. A Change of Plea is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. before Judge Lynn Norton. CBS2 will be there and will continue to update you here with what happens in court.
