Don't get us wrong, we're still here for the classics, but we love a fresh twist or a slick glow-up. “I've been seeing a lot of hair down with more of a luxury bouncy ‘90s blow dry – like a Madison Beers half-up, half-down style with just the top half clipped back,” Pete adds.
Overall, “individuality is key, with people working with what suits them. And people are also being a lot braver,” says Pete. Take the messy bun. We've seen some gorgeous current renditions that are pared back, less busy, but just as beautiful. The half updo remains a favourite, but cute details, like introducing a neat loveknot (see below) rather than a trad twist can elevate it and add interest.
The updo has made a triumphant return so we're expecting to see a whole bunch of spin-offs of the Pammy updo (made famous by Pamela Anderson in the '90s and now a go-to for Kim K, Jasmine Tookes and a team of A-listers.)
